Dominican Republic gets new flights with BA Boeing 777-200 and Thomson new Dreamliner

Thomson and First Choice have confirmed they will add direct Dreamliner flights from Glasgow Airport to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic for summer 2014.

The Dominican Republic announces that British Airways (BA) will be boosting services from London-Gatwick to Punta Cana with the introduction of a third service from London Gatwick this winter 2013.  

Thomson and First Choice have confirmed they will add direct Dreamliner flights from Glasgow Airport to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic for summer 2014. The new weekly service to the Dominican Republic will start on 01 May and will run throughout the summer season.

Commenting on the introduction of the extra flights, the Dominican Republic UK and Ireland Director, Sabrina Cambiaso said “The Ministry of Tourism’s strategic vision will take the Dominican Republic into the next decade and expand on our amazing tourism success to date by increasing visitor numbers to the country and sharing with them our natural beauty, culture and friendly people. These extra flights reinforces and supports a key part of the tourism strategy for Dominican Republic which is to increase flights to the Dominican Republic”.
