Domodedovo Airport summed up results of most punctual airlines contest in July 2013

Moscow Domodedovo Airport monthly sums up results of the most punctual airlines contests. In July 2013 the winners in eight different categories (depending on the flights frequency and the passenger traffic) are Transaero Airlines, Rossiya, Saratov Airlines, Tulpar Air, Aegean Airlines, Dniproavia, Iberia and Vietnam Airlines.

MOSCOW – Transaero Airlines traditionally already won in the first category and operated 1596 flights exactly according to the schedule. Rossiya became the leader in the second category and operated 272 flights without delays. Saratov Airlines headed the third contest category and had 148 punctual flights. Tulpar Air won in the fourth category with 18 flights without delay.

The most punctual foreign airlines are Aegean Airlines (the fifth category, 141 flights), Dniproavia (the sixth category, 91 on-time flights), Iberia (the seventh category, 59 flights without delays) and Vietnam Airlines (the eights category, 25 punctual flights).

The most punctual airlines contest was organized by Moscow Domodedovo Airport over 5 years ago. Since that time the number of Russian and foreign airlines-partners increased by more than one third.

As of beginning of August, 83 airlines operate flights to 239 domestic and international destinations from Domodedovo Airport, 84 out of these destinations are unique for Moscow Air Hub.

Moscow Domodedovo Airport is the largest in Russia. In 2012 the airport served 28,2 million people. It joins the category of the largest airports in Europe on the classification of the Airports Council International (ACI) and on results of 2012 became one of three European airports with the highest dynamic development. Since 2009 it is ranked as the best airport in Eastern Europe by Skytrax. Domodedovo is chosen for flights by member airlines of two largest global airline alliances — Star Alliance and oneworld.
