EFAPCO ponders the meetings sector's future

A series of interactive sessions will look at medical meetings in Greece “Hand-in-hand strategies or individual routes”, the future of the Greek Meetings Industry and the latest developments in technologies at the service of conference and event organizers.

EFAPCO and its Greek member association, HAPCO, are set to host a future-searching two-day Think Forum in Athens on March 12 and 13.

“The ancient city of philosophers, provides an appropriate setting for celebrating the Federation’s ten-year development,” said EFAPCO President Ivo Miksa.

“The programme includes the Federation’s General Assembly alongside a special business day so that members from all of our member countries, plus guests from other European states, can maximize the value of devoting two days to our meetings in the Greek capital.”

“In the meantime we have met with the newly-formed UK-based Institute of Event Management to work out ways in which the model could be developed as a European organization with an increasingly powerful voice within our industry and with the ability to qualify for interesting educational and industry-value related activities under the Erasmus plus educational programme.”

Day One is devoted primarily to the activities and interests driven by HAPCO. A series of interactive sessions will look at medical meetings in Greece “Hand-in-hand strategies or individual routes”, the future of the Greek Meetings Industry and the latest developments in technologies at the service of conference and event organizers.

The March 13 programme will comprise a series of plenary sessions covering:
