Times Square in New York is the most used tourist attraction related background image on Zoom at 46%. The iconic Eiffel Tower (41%) in Paris is the second favourite tourist attraction-based background image among professionals utilising Zoom.
With the exemption of the phenomenal key workers, most people are now working from home to safeguard against the spread of Covid-19. One of the primary online tools’ workers use to stay connected with their colleagues is the video conferencing platform Zoom.
A feature of Zoom which is particularly fascinating to users is the ability to change the background image, with many admittedly spending a significant amount of time trying to pick the ‘right one’ to transport them abroad.
Tourist attractions are proving to be really popular, so OnBuy.com surveyed 1,422 workers across Europe* to discover the most used tourist attractions as background images on Zoom.
OnBuy.com found that Times Square in New York is the most used tourist attraction related background image on Zoom at 46%.
Thereafter, the iconic Eiffel Tower (41%) in Paris is the second favourite tourist attraction-based background image among professionals utilising Zoom.
Interestingly, five of the Seven Wonders of the World are prominently used as background images on Zoom, they include: Colosseum (37%) in Rome, The Great Pyramid of Giza (35%) in Cairo, Taj Mahal (29%) in Agra, Great Wall of China (23%) in Huairou District and Christ the Redeemer (18%) in Rio de Janeiro.
Overall, from those surveyed, an astonishing 57% said the option to change the background image is their favourite aspect of Zoom.
All those surveyed in the research work at least 35 hours a week and use Zoom most working days (Monday – Friday). Survey allowed respondents to name more than one tourist attraction, as some users understandably have a preference to change their background image every so often rather than stick to the same one.
