Enjoy Travel announced its acquisition of Latvian-based competitor Doorental.com

EnjoyTravel.com is strengthening its position for the return of the UK and European domestic travel market and expects car rental and road trips to be a breakout travel trend of 2021 as people eschew public transport in favour of private.

EnjoyTravel.com, an industry-leading car rental comparison company based in the UK, announced its acquisition of its competitor Doorental.com, an online car broker with a majority European customer base.

The acquisition creates growth by combining complementary customer networks and is a key step in EnjoyTravel.com’s plan to further expand in the Swedish, Italian and French tourism markets. This is the latest in a series of strategic growth acquisitions by EnjoyTravel.com, who also recently acquired popular travel website Big 7 Travel.

Steve Dennis, Managing Director of EnjoyTravel.com said: “We’re delighted with our takeover of Doorental.com, the timings are perfect as Enjoy is now launching content in 3 new languages – Swedish, Danish and Russian, taking us to 10 languages for 2021. Doorental.com’s Italian and Swedish business in particular will be an excellent addition to Enjoy’s European expansion as people return to travel later in the year.”
