Enterprise Rent-A-Car brand enters Caribbean

Martinique, Guadeloupe and French Guiana offer Enterprise brand to customers.

ST. LOUIS – Enterprise Holdings announced that it is franchising the use of its Enterprise Rent-A-Car brand to several Caribbean operators. These franchisees include Guyane Car in French Guiana, L.A.M. in Martinique and S.G.L.V. in Guadeloupe.

These new operations further expand the international footprint of the Enterprise brand. With an extensive network of locations in neighborhoods and at airports throughout the world, Enterprise is internationally known for everyday low car hire rates and outstanding service.

Peter A. Smith, vice president of global franchising for Enterprise Holdings, said: “The introduction of the Enterprise brand to these important markets means international travelers and local residents will be able to experience first-hand our signature customer service and convenient rental process.”

French Guiana, Guadeloupe and Martinique are popular tourist destinations. According to the Caribbean Tourism Organization, almost 25 million tourists visited the Caribbean in 2012. On the mainland, French Guiana is well-positioned to receive international travelers, with direct flights throughout South America, the Antilles and France. Travelers to these destinations are often attracted to the picturesque tropical landscapes and wide array of vacation activities.

Currently, through its regional subsidiaries, Enterprise Holdings owns and operates the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands in North America, as well as a comprehensive network of National and Alamo locations throughout the Americas and, through a combination of corporate ownership and franchise agreements, a rapidly expanding global network of Enterprise operations.
