Specialist travel company, Essential Italy is delighted to have been awarded a British Travel Award for ‘Best Small Tour Operator to the Italian Peninsular and Malta’. The British Travel Awards 2012 were held on Thursday, 1 November at the Battersea Evolution in Battersea Park, London with a glittering gala dinner.
The British Travel Awards is the largest consumer voted awards programme in the UK created to reward the best companies in travel. Recognised by consumers and travel professionals throughout the UK, The British Travel Awards are widely referred to as the “Oscars” of the travel industry and are easily the most recognisable of all travel industry accolades amongst consumer and industry professionals alike.
Co-Directors Helen Forbes and Sarah Sharland attended the ceremony and were thrilled with the award. Helen Forbes said, “We have been nominated in this category for the past three years, so to actually win this year has just been fabulous.
