Eurocamp relaunch Liberates Holidays

Championing the notion of holiday liberation, the new Eurocamp brand essence leverages the combined strength of both Eurocamp and Keycamp to open up new opportunities.

Βuilding on over 40 years of heritage, Eurocamp – the UK’s leading European camping specialist – is relaunching to mark a new chapter in its history. 2014 sees the unification of Eurocamp and its sister company Keycamp under the Eurocamp banner. The result is one brand – Eurocamp – offering the biggest choice of outdoor holidays in one place.

The business has already been experiencing strong growth in the UK over the last two years, with 2013 seeing double-digit booking growth rates compared to both 2012 and 2011. The aim is to build on this in 2014, and early trading has already got off to a great start, with bookings up over ten per cent year-on-year.

Championing the notion of holiday liberation, the new Eurocamp brand essence leverages the combined strength of both Eurocamp and Keycamp to open up new opportunities. With a new TV campaign launching on 26th December – the biggest for the brand yet – the aim is to broaden the appeal of the Eurocamp offering. The brand is looking beyond Eurocampers who know and love this style of holiday, to attract new audiences who are interested in enjoying Europe’s great outdoors in a way that other holiday types, be they hotel, villa or package, just don’t offer.

Chris Hilton, Head of Brand, comments: “Holiday liberation is more than just a strapline – it’s based on a truth about what people love about our holidays. They set people free – not only from the daily grind, but also the constraints of other holidays, so they can enjoy the holiday experience that suits them best. Based on feedback this year, over 92 per cent of our holidaymakers would book with us again, which tells us unequivocally that we’re in tune with what people need from a modern tour operator.

“So whether that’s choosing from hundreds of locations across Europe’s finest destinations, a massive range of accommodation, flexible travel and duration options, or the countless daily activities on offer – everything we’re doing is seeking to liberate customers’ holidays and facilitate an experience that offers greater flexibility, informality and variety. Relaunching Eurocamp means we can focus all efforts on this promise.”

Introducing the Aspect Holiday Home
2014 will also see the launch of the Aspect, Eurocamp’s pioneering next generation holiday home – an accommodation option beyond customers’ expectations featuring more space to unwind and enjoy family time, and packed with mod cons. It comes complete with large covered decking offering greater outdoor living space and handy modern features including dishwasher, wi-fi, and Bluetooth speaker and iPod dock.

Having brought together the Eurocamp and Keycamp programmes for 2014, the new Aspect model adds to a range of accommodation that already offers customers a broader and larger choice than ever before. The options encompass everything from stylish mobile homes and lodges, to Safari tents and even Tree Houses.

New for 2014 – Eurocamp Active Brand
new for 2014, the Eurocamp Active sub-brand is also launching – a gateway to the outdoors offering the ideal base to enjoy four favourite outdoor sports: road cycling, climbing, walking and summer skiing. Prime parcs across Europe have been identified, from which activities can be enjoyed, making the most of the local landscape. The offering ranges from the provision of detailed cycling routes and maps, to guided and self-guided walks at varying levels, access to local ski resorts for a fun day out and a stay on the doorstep of some of Europe’s finest climbing spots.

Chris Hilton adds: “Our aim is to inspire by showcasing all the possibilities of a Eurocamp holiday, beyond the family holiday experience we’re so well known for. We’re thrilled to be doing this through the one brand, combined with the same high quality and great value that we’ve become synonymous with over the many years our customers have been enjoying the Eurocamp experience.”
