Membership of the Association of British Professional Conference Organisers (ABPCO) has reached its highest ever level, as staff of both established and more recently formed conference and event management companies appreciate the benefits of joining the Association. ABPCO now has 71 members (53 Full members, 18 Associate members), many of whom are the owners and managing directors of their businesses.
One of the latest recruits into Full membership is Jennifer Jenkins, based in Hampshire. She commented: “I joined ABPCO to network with industry peers, having reviewed the make-up of membership and decided that time spent networking with this group would be time well-spent, and so it has already proved!”
London-based Lynne Evans has also just become a Full member. Lynne said: “Having recently set up my own event management company after 15 years in the industry, I joined ABPCO because of the accreditation it offers and to reassure potential clients of my professionalism. I’ve been delighted with the business referrals I’ve already received, and the membership fee for ABPCO was the best investment I could have made.”
Membership of ABPCO is selective and is limited to individuals who have a proven record of achievement. Apart from benefits such as networking, accreditation and marketing, ABPCO also provides a range of professional development opportunities for its members.
