Budapest Airport to hire additional screening employees from other EU countries

Budapest Airport has decided to hire immediately additional screening employees from other EU countries in order to avoid further damages to the airport and the airlines and improve the extremely unpleasant situation for passengers. The decision was taken after 4 days of strike and in view of the upcoming Christmas season.
The EU screeners are fully licensed in the EU and in Hungary. The passenger security screeners are scheduled to pick up work beginning on Tuesday morning, 16th December, provided the strike continues.

Budapest Airport employs the screeners with a definite work contract and only as long as the traffic needs require this. With this move BA aims to reduce the damages caused to the airlines, passengers and for the Hungarian economy.
