Cendant distribution Chief to speak at WTM` s Captains of Industry Lunch

Gordon Wilson, President and CEO of Cendant Travel Distribution Services is Guest Speaker at this year’s World Travel Market Captains of Industry Lunch in London, sponsored by Utah Office of Tourism.



The invitation-only lunch, in aid of the international water-aid charity Just a Drop, will be attended by 200 senior management executives, representing every sector of the industry. It will be held on the event’s opening day, Monday 14 November.

Given the significance of Cendant as a global player in which Gordon Wilson is responsible for travel distribution businesses in more than one hundred countries in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, this will be an extremely thought provoking and interesting speech, said Fiona Jeffrey, Group Exhibition Director.

Following comments on ‘A Vision of the Future’, Gordon Wilson will be interviewed by well known industry commentator and businessman, Michael East.



His responsibilities include all Cendant’s business to business brands – Galileo Global Distribution system, Gullivers Travel Associates, Trust International, Wizcom and the UK’s leading consolidator and wholesaler Travel 2 Travel 4.



Previous roles have included vice-president, Global Customer Service Delivery, based in Denver, U.S.A; managing director of Galileo Southern Africa based in Johannesburg; managing director of Galileo Portugal and Espana based in Lisbon and general manager, airline sales and marketing for Galileo International.



Before joining Galileo International in 1991, which was acquired by Cendant in 2001, he held a number of positions in the airline and chemical industries in the UK.



Gordon holds a master’s degree in law from Cambridge University, United Kingdom and a postgraduate diploma in Air and Space Law from University College, London. He is based at the Cendant TDS International Markets head office in Langley, U.K.
