One of the fastest-growing organizations within the Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group (DTG) franchise network, Thrifty UAE beat out competition from over 70 Thrifty franchises worldwide to win the ‘Global Franchise of the Year Award’.
The award was presented during DTG’s annual worldwide convention earlier this month in Las Vegas, and was hotly contested by DTG franchises from across Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas, with Thrifty UAE a clear winner.
Rahul Singh, general manager, Thrifty Dubai and Northern Emirates, and Khaiser Pasha, general manager, Thrifty Abu-Dhabi and Al-Ain, were presented with the honors for Thrifty UAE’s outstanding performance in the last calendar year, which included the opening of 5 new Thrifty outlets across the UAE and the addition of 1000 new cars to the existing fleet.
“Thrifty UAE prides itself on its commitment to customer service and value, for both the corporate and leisure customer, and it`s gratifying to see that commitment recognized and appreciated by our colleagues,” said Singh, accepting the award on behalf of his team at a special black-tie gala dinner held on the last evening of the convention.
This year’s convention was well attended by more than 950 franchisees, employees and guests of Dollar Rent a Car and Thrifty Car Rental worldwide including a number of key representatives from the Middle East.
“Thrifty UAE have done a superb job delivering an outstanding car rental experience to residents and the influx of tourists to the UAE in compliance with our company philosophy of ‘value every time’. During the three-day meeting, attendees took part in a series of brainstorming sessions, roundtables, managerial development seminars and motivational speeches. They shared success stories and celebrated franchise achievements, highlighting the internal and external growth the company has experienced over the year.
Thrifty UAE also recently announced the addition of a range of luxury cars to its existing inventory of more than 7500 quality vehicles. Clients can now choose from a luxurious portfolio that includes Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Toyota Land Cruisers.
