Oceania Cruises was named as the “Most Innovative Cruise Line” by Virtuoso, the leading luxury travel network. The upper-premium cruise line was chosen above other nominees as the very best in its category demonstrating dedication, innovation, hospitality and overall performance.
The prestigious Virtuoso Performance Awards for 2011 were revealed August 18 at a gala dinner during Virtuoso’s 23rd annual Travel Mart conference, which took place at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
“We are honored to have been recognized by Virtuoso. Oceania Cruises is a brand with a proud history of innovative itineraries and culinary offerings,” said Bruce J. Himelstein, the line’s president. “For example, our Marina and new Riviera feature the first Bon Appetit cooking schools at sea, suites furnished exclusively by Ralph Lauren Home, a spa by Canyon Ranch and a crystal grand staircase made by Lalique, among other innovations.”
