Radius announced the promotion of Chris Weedon to Director for Multinational Corporate Sales for Europe in an expansion of its multinational corporate sales team. Weedon will play an integral part in the company’s ongoing strategy to maintain and significantly grow Radius’ business development presence among multinational corporations in the European region.
Weedon will report directly to Kieran Hartwell, Vice President, Multinational Corporate Sales. He joined Radius in mid-2007 and has been responsible re-engineering the RFP process as Multinational Bid Manager, a function he will supervise in his new role. Additionally, Weedon is serving on the Radius task force that is shaping the company’s corporate social responsibility position.
Based in London, Weedon has been heavily involved in the travel industry over the last three years, including a position at HARP wallen where he headed up a corporate travel department. He has a first degree in psychology and a background in human resources and commercial management.
Commenting on his promotion, Weedon offered: “I am looking forward to further contributing to the RADIUS effort to deepen customer relationships and configure travel management products and services to meet the needs of multinational corporations doing business in Europe. I will work closely with the strong Radius management team and our market-leading agencies to identify and develop new growth opportunities, while also ensuring that our position on corporate social responsibility is reflected in our corporate business policy, human resource and risk management programs, as well as our charitable endeavors.”
