This year`s sixth consecutive Slovenian Incoming Workshop (SIW), organized annually by the Slovenian Tourist Board, will take place from October 16 to 20 at the Catez Thermal Spa. This largest tourism business event in Slovenia, where Slovenia`s tourist offer is presented to representatives of foreign travel agencies from all over the world, will this year be focused on thermal springs (health resorts) and Slovene vineyards.
The event is an excellent opportunity for the promotion of Slovenia as a tourist destination and the highlights of Slovene tourism and for establishing contacts with tour organizers, travel agents, and transport companies as well as building on already existing connections and encouraging the marketing of Slovenia`s tourist offer.
With the goal of familiarizing the new and already existing business partners with unique Slovenia, the conclusion of the business program at the Incoming Workshop will be followed by a three-day study trip for the foreign participants during which they will get to know the thermal and wine resources of Slovenia with visits to the Bizeljsko winegrowing region, several Slovene health resorts, Ptuj, Jeruzalem, Maribor, Slovenske Konjice, the alpine valley of Logarska dolina, and Celje.
