Titan Airways scoops Best Passenger Charter Airline award and urges the industry to ‘buy British’

Titan Airways’ Operations Director Graham Baguley proudly accepted the Best Passenger Charter Airline award at the annual Baltic Air Charter Association (BACA) awards luncheon at the Guildhall in London on Thursday, 11th October.

Thanking the 200-plus strong industry guests for their votes and attributing the win to Titan‘s dedicated and professional staff of 250, Graham Baguley also highlighted that the entire industry needs to ‘get behind British industry and buy British.’

He noted: “In this tough economic climate, which has regrettably caused the demise of many British airlines, we’re proud to be celebrating a quarter of a century of operations next year.”  Established in 1988 by current owner Gene Willson, Titan Airways has gone from strength to strength and today boasts a fleet of 12 aircraft.

The largest aircraft in Titan’s jet fleet, a Boeing 767-300ER is now available for a new role following the successful completion of a 12-month contract serving the Falkland Islands on behalf of the MoD.

This modern widebodied jet is now available for short, medium or long term lease and also ad hoc air charter,” said Alastair Kiernan, Titan Airways Commercial Director.  “Its superb range and modern cabin makes it an ideal choice for long-haul charter solutions beyond Europe.  With a maximum of 265 leather seats and seat back in-flight entertainment the Boeing 767-300ER provides passengers with plenty of room to relax and enjoy Titan’s high standards of service while on board.

BACA, 63 years old, is the world’s largest and most respected network for air charter professionals, representing the interests of air-brokers, charter airlines, airports, business aircraft operators, freight forwarders and consultants at both a commercial and political level.  It is not the first time that Titan Airways has been recognised by BACA for its outstanding passenger charter services and with its focus on delivering a consistent, attentive and reliable service the company is confident it won’t be the last.
