Tunisair opening new sales office for the Nordic countries in cooperation with Aviareps

Tunisair, which had its own sales office for the Nordic countries until 2007, is back in the market with Aviareps as its General Sales Agent. Aviareps’ Scandinavian subsidiary – with ten years of professional experience in the airline industry – will take over all future sales, marketing and ticketing activities with immediate effect. The Stockholm-based office will represent Tunisair and serve customers with a multilingual call centre for Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland.

Tunisair, the national carrier of Tunisia, started its business with scheduled flights back in 1948. Today the airline serves a total of 44 destinations in 28 countries. The carrier transported 3.6 million passengers in 2007. The fleet consists of 19 Airbus and 11 Boeing B737 aircraft. Important Tunisair gateways in Europe are Brussels (Belgium), Amsterdam (Netherlands), Paris (France) and Frankfurt (Germany).

“We are in close cooperation especially with Brussels Airlines, which offers excellent connections from Stockholm, Gothenburg, Copenhagen, Oslo and Helsinki to Brussels,” explains Paul Riddez, spokesman for Tunisair and General Manager of Aviareps Scandinavia. “We are very proud to represent the national carrier of Tunisia, which rounds off our versatile client portfolio nicely. After ten years of existence our subsidiary now serves no less than twenty renowned airline and tourism customers.”
