Flight Centre Business Travel strengthens Senior team in UK & Ireland

Flight Centre Business Travel (FCBT) has strengthened its senior team with the appointment of Joe Beevis as General Manager UK & Ireland and Aisha Battersby as Head of Customer Experience.

Joe Beevis joined Flight Centre Travel Group in 2010 and has extensive experience across the company’s leisure and business travel brands. He began his career in manager positions at FCBT retail stores in London before moving to Round the World Experts in 2014 initially as Senior Team Leader, rising to General Manager. In 2018 he was appointed Head of Specialist Retail, managing First & Business, Complex Air & Groups and at the start of this year, he assumed the role of Head of Digital Transformation at FCBT where he has been responsible for driving development of the brand’s technology solutions.

Aisha Battersby previously held the role of Head of Strategic Account Management across both FCBT and sister division Corporate Traveller, where she was responsible for restructuring account management processes for larger SME customers. Her career with Flight Centre began in 2011 as Business Development Manager at Corporate Traveller, rising to Head of Account Management in 2014. In 2015 she was appointed General Manager of Stage & Screen Travel Services to launch Flight Centre’s specialist travel division servicing clients in the film, music and creative industries in the UK

Aisha is also ideally placed to take up the newly created role of Head of Customer Experience to drive FCBT’s focus on giving customers the products and services they need, thanks to her thanks to her unique experience within sister SME specialist business travel division, Corporate Traveller.”

Established in 2005, Flight Centre Business Travel (FCBT) was set up to meet the increasing demand from customers of Flight Centre’s leisure agencies for personal local business travel services. In addition to UK/Ireland, FCBT operates in South Africa, Australia, Canada and USA.

In the UK & Ireland, FCBT now has some 250 staff in over 20 locations where teams of consultants are either based within a dedicated area within Flight Centre hyper stores or in stand-alone FCBT offices. Today FCBT has around 1800 SME clients in the UK ranging from individual business owners to larger corporations spending £50K upwards on business travel per annum, and manages travel for over 15,000 UK business travellers per year.
