Flybe: New route to Dusseldorf from Southampton Airport

Flybe has 18 routes with a choice of up to 484 flights a week directly from Southampton Airport.

As part of its new winter schedule from Southampton that started this weekend (Sunday 25th October, 2106), Flybe has launched its new daily route to Dusseldorf in Germany, which will operate with convenient evening timings throughout winter until 26th March 2016.

To celebrate this new service, passengers and flight crew were welcomed with gingerbread men, a well-known German delicacy, often seen in German Christmas markets.

Dusseldorf is one of Germany’s most diverse cities, a bustling metropolis in the heart of Europe. Divided by the Rhine River, its Old Town on the east bank and the modern commercial areas on the west, Dusseldorf is the fashion capital of Germany. It also boasts an array of German Christmas Markets to visit, perfect for anyone looking for an authentic festive city break this winter.

Flybe’s Chief Commercial Officer, Paul Simmons says: “We’re committed to bolstering regional connectivity across the UK and into Europe and our new Dusseldorf service is a clear indication of this commitment.  We look forward to welcoming many new passengers on board in the upcoming months.”

Dave Lees, Managing Director of Southampton Airport, added: “Germany is the country most requested from Southampton Airport, so we are delighted that Flybe is starting flights to Dusseldorf.”
