German Convention Bureau presents winners of the German wild cards for IMEX

The event agency "Architektur im Dialog" was founded in 2010 with the objective of improving the exchange of ideas between experts from the construction sector and decision makers from politics, business and the media.

FRANKFURT AM MAIN – The GCB German Convention Bureau has announced this year’s winners of the German wild cards for IMEX: the event agency Architektur im Dialog (AiD) and event and entertainment agency Fraulein Betty held off a host of competitors with their innovative event concepts. Each wins an exhibition area free-of-charge at the Germany Stand organised by the GCB German Convention Bureau. The two finalists will now have the opportunity to present their companies to an international trade fair audience. “IMEX – incorporating Meetings made in Germany – the worldwide exhibition for incentive travel, meetings und events” will take place from 21-23 May 2013 in Hall 8 at Messe Frankfurt.

This is the eighth time that the GCB has awarded two wild cards to German organisations and companies that focus principally on events in their domestic market. Applicants are restricted to those who have not yet participated in a trade fair in this sector. Moreover, they must also be new companies in the German meeting, incentive, congress and event market or offer new products for the convention and event sector.

The event agency “Architektur im Dialog” was founded in 2010 with the objective of improving the exchange of ideas between experts from the construction sector and decision makers from politics, business and the media. Here the agency impressed with its wide ranging series of presentations and events on the subject of “sustainable architecture”. In cooperation with the Frankfurt Energy Agency, the company created the project “KLIMAtour”, which guides international representatives from the sector around the most outstanding examples of energy efficiency and resource conservation architecture in the City of Frankfurt am Main. These specialist tours supplement the events offered by the business travel market in the area of sustainable construction and highlight Germany’s pioneering role in the area of sustainability.

The event and entertainment agency Fraulein Betty from Wiesbaden was also delighted to receive its wild card. The company, represented by the vintage art figure of Fraulein Betty, produces modern, creative and multimedia event concepts of charm and originality. This highly creative agency, whose philosophy and motto reflect traditional values such as reliability, courtesy, decency and constancy, has a reputation for designing events, conventions and trade fair appearances with a little added “je ne sais quoi”. At IMEX 2013, Fraulein Betty will have its own presentation area at the Germany Stand and report from the trade fair on its channel Fraulein Betty TV.

The GCB is the largest exhibitor at IMEX presenting over 200 exhibitors at the Germany Stand F100. The GCB is also a strategic partner of IMEX, a contact for exhibitors and visitors in Germany and the organiser of the German-language seminar programme.
