Ink appoints Seán Gannon as Vice President of Health Systems

Gannon joins Ink with a wealth of experience in the health sector and will take the lead in positioning Ink’s health portfolio to governments and airlines, with a focus on providing systems to support the restart of travel.

ALICANTE, SPAIN – Ink Innovation, a provider of technology solutions to airports, airlines, governments and the health sector, is announcing the appointment of Seán Gannon as vice president of Health Systems.

Gannon joins Ink with a wealth of experience in the health sector and will take the lead in positioning Ink’s health portfolio to governments and airlines, with a focus on providing systems to support the restart of travel.

Prior to Ink, Gannon held the position of business development manager at Tento Health, a digital health and diagnostics technology provider and joint venture partner of Ink. He was also responsible for the launch and sustainable commercial growth of medical devices across Europe in his role with a global medical technology company.

Shawn Richards, CEO, Ink, says: “Seán has extensive knowledge in the health sector that is needed to introduce our Ink Health Platform to governments, airlines, airports and ground handlers.

“Governments are searching for practical strategies to restart travel. The Ink Health Platform simplifies passenger processing at scale under new, rapidly evolving rules that require the presentation and screening of a variety of documents and smartphone apps. Airlines are already using the Ink Health Platform in live environments to verify Covid-19 health information of crew and passengers prior to departure. This work allows destination governments to ensure the authenticity of inbound passenger test and vaccination statuses.”

Seán Gannon, vice president of Health Systems, Ink, adds: “In my previous role, I worked closely with Ink in the launch of its Digital Health Platform and became very familiar with their offering. I’m joining the company at a really important time and I am looking forward to spearheading Ink Health Systems.”
