The new experience is inspired by Jordan Live, the latest marketing campaign that saw the Black Tomato team explore Jordan capturing their adventures, discoveries and interviews on film and through live blogging. Tom Marchant, co-founder of Black Tomato, said: “we are really thrilled to be working with a destination that’s always been a firm favourite here at Black Tomato. A country with so much to offer from incredible landscapes, ancient ruins, and fascinating Bedouin heritage it’s been amazing to capture our journey through Jordan on film highlighting the best of the destination”.

Inspired by the teams travels and discoveries this new trip offers guests chance to cook up an authentic Arabic feast in the kitchens of Amman and explore the ruins of Petra by the flicker of candle-light under the night sky on this all-encompassing eight night holiday embracing this fascinating country’s dramatic landscapes and Bedouin heritage.

For a taster of our new trip take a look at these highlights:
1. Uncover the culinary make-up of Jordan at Beit Sitti cooking school. Located in the heart of Amman’s artistic neighbourhood, the school is housed in traditional surroundings that have been a hub of culinary creations for generations. Guests can prepare and taste traditional Arabic fare such as Makloubeh and Baba Ganoush.

2. The trip explores the dramatic desert wilderness of Wadi Rum, also known as the Valley of the Moon. Guests can stay overnight right in the heart of this expansive terrain at a bespoke luxury camp. Here they can dine al-fresco under a canopy of stars and bed down in one of the nine luxurious Bedouin style tents all designed to blend harmoniously into the desert landscape.

3. Travellers can take in the awe-inspiring beauty and majesty of Petra by the flicker of candle light exploring the ancient Nabataean site at night. At the iconic treasury guests will be treated to a spell-binding Bedouin musical experience set against the backdrop of the majestic monument.

The final experience will be spent soaking up the beauty of the Dead Sea, staying at the indulgent spa retreat of the Kempinski Ishtar Dead Sea. Here surrounded by an oasis of olive trees, waterfalls, and private pools guests can soak up the beauty of this region along with the restorative Dead Sea waters.
