WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CALIF. – Saluting their excellence, Journese honored 25 luxury travel advisors at the annual Curators Celebration, held at the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa, in The Hawaiian Islands September 23–26, 2016. They were joined by Senior Vice President Sales Strategy, Kimberly Daley, as well as a number of members from the Journese team including Destination Specialists and Business Development Managers for a weekend of relaxation in one of Journese’ greatest destinations and networking to commend their achievement in sales for 2016.
The exclusive getaway began with a beautiful welcome reception hosted by the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa where travel advisors and their guests were personally greeted by staff of Hyatt Resorts from across the Islands. The Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa’s General Manager, Keith Butz, and his team graciously opened the festivities that night with local rum tasting, a variety of culinary offerings and a Hawaiian musical trio.
Key to the event was a dynamic focus group discussing fine travel, affluent travelers evolving expectations, and how Journese can best serve travel advisors. Paramount to that is the increase in lifestyle choices as part of the travel experience, including immersive experiences, ancillary value-added perks, themed travel including destination weddings and exemplary service levels. Several advisors participated in optional excursions including massage treatments, an ATV off-road adventure to Hule’ia Valley and Ah’upu, exploration of Allerton Botanical Garden, a horseback ride along the beach and an exhilarating zipline adventure. Following an amazing day that included an in-depth review of the unique attributes of the Hawaiian Islands by the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau, an exclusive tour of Grand Hyatt’s hydroponic garden and tasting of their exquisite salads prepared onsite by Chef May Valenciano; Saturday evening guests delighted in exclusive after-dinner cocktails, dessert and entertainment in the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa’s Stevenson Library. The celebratory weekend at the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort & Spa concluded with a Curators Celebration Farewell awards dinner at Cabana Beach Lawn.

The Curators Celebration concluded with the announcement of the 2017 event, which will take place September 22 – 27, 2017 in partnership with UnCruise Adventures. Journese will once again welcome its elite 25 advisors to celebrate their achievements while cruising aboard the UnCruise Adventure Safari Voyager on a five-night exclusively curated itinerary out of Panama City.
