London Oxford Airport announces new Manx2.com winter schedule

From the start of its winter schedule on 01 November, Manx2.com will operate four flights a week to the Isle of Man and Jersey until spring 2013.

Following a highly successful summer season of Manx2.com flights to Jersey and the Isle of Man, London Oxford Airport has confirmed that regular flights will continue throughout the winter. From the start of its winter schedule on 01 November, Manx2.com will operate four flights a week to the Isle of Man and Jersey until spring 2013.

Flight times have been adjusted to offer business travellers the maximum time at their destination and the opportunity for leisure travellers to make the most of an attractive long weekend break. In addition, the service to Belfast City Airport via the Isle of Man launched in July will continue with two flights a week from Oxford with enhancements made to the connection through the Isle of Man for the added convenience of passengers.

Launched in May 2012, the Manx2.com services from London Oxford to the Isle of Man and Jersey have been very well received with higher than anticipated load factors – typically around 65% – especially during the summer months.

Manx2.com flights from London Oxford Airport are available to book now at manx2.com with highly competitive fares with no credit card charges or booking fees to pay and an allowance of up to 10kg for hand luggage. The services offer convenience and affordability for both business and leisure passengers with the shortest of check-in times and the use of ‘VIP’ FBO terminal facilities at London Oxford.

The services offer an ideal short break for those wanting to enjoy pre-Christmas low tax shopping, Jersey spa breaks or long weekends in The Cotswolds or in the Oxford area where visitors can enjoy local attractions including Blenheim Palace, Oxford University, Bicester shopping village, Stratford-upon-Avon and Henley on Thames as well as a broad range of gastronomic delights. Equally, it offers a convenient alternative to travellers in the offshore registration industries and finance, tax and banking sectors who routinely travel to and from the islands.

Andi Pargeter, Managing Director of London Oxford Airport, said: “The continued success of the Manx2.com service to Jersey, the Isle of Man and Belfast gives us the opportunity to showcase London Oxford’s thriving and dynamic airport and state-of-the-art passenger terminal.  It enables Oxford residents to fly conveniently and affordably from their local airport and gives inbound passengers the opportunity to sample the delights of our nearby architectural, historical and cultural attractions or take advantage of our close proximity to London, which is just an hour away by car.”
