MedAire and Gulfstream expand long-standing partnership

Due to the changing mission profile of in business aviation, along with an overall higher level of travel risks, there is an evolving customer need for additional safety and security assistance.

PHOENIX, AZ – MedAire, leading provider of medical and travel risk management solutions, has extended its longstanding relationship with Gulfstream Aerospace. For 26 years, Gulfstream has included MedAire’s in-flight medical solutions as part of the standard equipment onboard every aircraft built. Moving forward, Gulfstream will not only equip aircraft with MedAire’s medical offerings, but will  provide its clients with a state-of-the-art comprehensive travel risk management solution that meets the evolving needs of the business aviation customer.

Due to the changing mission profile of in business aviation, along with an overall higher level of travel risks, there is an evolving customer need for additional safety and security assistance. Beginning Q1 of 2016, all new Gulfstream aircraft will come equipped with MedAire’s expanded safety services, including aviation travel security briefs, air space assessments, information and advice to mitigate risk at destination, and access to MedAire’s 24/7 global network of security experts, local providers and logistics personnel.

MedAire reports that it receives as many requests for security related assistance as they do for medical services, according to recent data from MedAire’s Global Response Center (GRC). The company reports it has seen approximately 20% year on year increases in customer utilization of services, with recent demand rising even higher. The real world call data is a testimonial to the changing travel and risk profile for the business aviation customer.  Gulfstream’s addition of comprehensive travel safety services is an example of manufacturers responding to evolving industry and customer needs.

Boeing Business Jet Expands MedAire Travel Risk Solutions
MedAire also announces that it has expanded its long-standing partnership with Boeing Business Jets (BBJ). MedAire’s comprehensive travel risk management solution will now be part of the standard equipment onboard every aircraft built. The expanded entitlement program provides BBJ clients with a complete medical, safety and security service solution that meets the evolving needs of the business aviation customer.

Due to the changing mission profile and overall higher level of travel risks experienced in business aviation, there is the need for additional safety and security assistance. In response to these developments, Boeing Business Jets now come equipped with MedAire’s expanded safety services; including aviation travel security briefs, air space assessments, information and advice to mitigate risk at destination, and access to MedAire’s 24/7 global network of security experts, local providers and logistics personnel.

MedAire reports that it now receives as many requests for security related assistance as they do for medical services, according to recent data from their Global Response Center (GRC) in Phoenix, Arizona. The company receives in excess of 17,000 calls per month for aviation specific medical, safety and security assistance. MedAire has experienced approximately 20% yearly growth in customer utilization of services from the business aviation sector, with recent demand for pre-travel council and in-flight safety and security assistance rising even higher.
