Organisers of meetings industry event CONVENE, which showcases the Baltic Sea Region, are once again expecting huge interest in their Hosted Buyer programme, which is now open for registration.
The event launched to great acclaim last year and preparations for CONVENE 2014 are already well underway. Lithuania will again welcome international buyers to the city of Vilnius, where the gems of the emerging Baltic meetings industry will be on display.
Members of the Hosted Buyer programme will benefit from complimentary air travel and accommodation at a Vilnius partner hotel, along with access to the full programme of CONVENE networking and hospitality events. Additionally, they will have access to the popular familiarisation trips to countries such as Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Finland.
Delegates can also now be confident that they are visiting an established event. Director Jolanta Beniuliene said: “Last year’s event was about launching CONVENE, and the Baltic Sea Region, onto the world stage. It was so successful, and we received such fantastic feedback from delegates and exhibitors that we can concentrate on making CONVENE 2014 even bigger and better.
“As a result of the Hosted Buyer programme, a significant amount of business was conducted at CONVENE 2013, which means both buyers and suppliers have done some great deals. You can be sure we’ll be building on that in 2014!”
Organisers have already stated their intentions to increase the event by 30%, but they say that they expect places for Hosted Buyers to be in high demand. The advice is to apply early to guarantee success.
CONVENE, run by Vilnius Convention Bureau, will be held from 12 – 13 February 2014 at the Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress Centre LITEXPO, Vilnius.
