A 19% expansion of the current car rental fleet operated by Almana Motors Rent A Car, the Hertz international franchisee in Qatar, will mean that, by the end of April 2001, almost 50% of its car rental vehicles will be 2001 models.
The Ford Focus, and Mercury Grand Marquis, will be among the new arrivals, along with the Peugeot 206, the Jeep Cherokee, and the Ford Escape, the new sports utility vehicle being introduced in Qatar by Almana Motors, which is the Ford, Lincoln and Mercury dealer in the emirate.
The expansion and upgrading of our fleet is part of our commitment to providing the leading car rental services in Qatar, both for the local market, and for inbound business and leisure travellers, said Chris Liddicoat, the recently appointed general manager of Hertz Qatar.
The Qatar public received their first glimpse of the Ford Escape during the recent Qatar Masters PGA European Tour golf tournament at Doha Golf Club, for which Almana Motors was the Official Courtesy Car Sponsor.
