Hertz UAE has been chosen as the top car rental company in the Middle East by business travellers from across the region.
The company, part of the Al-Futtaim Group, was chosen independently by readers of Business Traveller Middle East magazine who voted on the magazine’s website.
Nigel Johnson, Managing Director, Hertz UAE, was on hand to receive the Best Car Rental Company in the Middle East honour at the annual Business Traveller Middle East Awards held at the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray on Palm Jumeirah, Dubai.
Johnson said: “This award is testament to the investment in our fleet of quality vehicles and the ongoing training we perform with our staff. It is all the more meaningful because it was voted for by business travellers who have recognised how we consistently deliver their needs in car rental.”
The awards are hosted by Business Traveller Middle East (BTME) magazine and recognise leaders in several categories related to high-end travel. Celebrity Chef Gary Rhodes presented the awards to winners at the sparkling ceremony.
Hertz UAE rotates its rental fleet of vehicles every 12 months to ensure customers receive new, reliable vehicles with every rental, a commitment particularly attractive to business travellers. Premium level vehicles in the Hertz fleet such as the Lexus LS460 are also popular with the corporate customers.
The BTME award comes as Hertz UAE prepares to launch its Hertz #1 Gold Club service at Abu Dhabi International Airport in May 2011, followed by Dubai International Aiport in the summer.
The loyalty programme offers superior service and a range of perks, allowing travellers to skip paper work and line-ups upon arrival at Hertz airport locations.
Gold Club customers will also have more choice when selecting their vehicle which will be waiting in designated parking steps away from the Hertz counter.
Hertz UAE recently expanded its network to 14 locations across the Emirates by opening an exclusive service desk at Abu Dhabi International Airport, a new branch at Etihad Plaza and a branch in Al Ain.
