Omnia, the Dubai Media City-based integrated marketing and design solutions consultancy, is the agency behind the ‘Golf Ball Falcon’ logo which now brands Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority’s (ADTA) inaugural Abu Dhabi Golf Championship – part of the European Tour 2006.



“The falcon has always been associated with the UAE, so we built on this concept to deliver a logo which will clearly differentiate the event, create brand recognition of the tournament, the capital city and the country in one impressive design,” explained Adam Booth, Managing Director, Omnia.



The company has also been appointed by ADTA to design an animated logo, Quick Time movie, screen saver, ticket designs and printed folders.



The Abu Dhabi Golf Championship will be held in January 2006 and will be contested by some of the world’s top players led by current world No. 6 Sergio Garcia, Colin Montgomerie and Thomas Bjorn.



Premier Sports of Germany, The USA’s Golf Channel, Viasat of Sweden, the UK’s Sky Sports and Showtime in the UAE will telecast the championship.



“The falcon’s visibility against its dynamic red background will now deliver name recognition to a broadcast audience of over 300 million across 60 countries,” added Booth.
