Qatar is to be the Guest Country at the Arab World Travel & Tourism Exchange (AWTTE), scheduled to take place at BIEL Center in Beirut, September 29 – October 2. Under the arrangement, there will be a special focus on Qatar for the duration of the show.
Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer and chairman of Qatar Tourism Authority, Akbar Al Baker, said: AWTTE is an important event in the travel trade calendar in the Middle East showcasing the best products countries in the region can offer to tourism professionals worldwide. Qatar is pleased to be participating as Guest Country because we have plenty to offer to business and leisure travelers and Qatar is also currently enjoying an economic boom with our national airline Qatar Airways experiencing unprecedented growth.
We would like to share our culture, tradition and heritage with the rest of the world at AWTTE 2005.
The overall strategy of Qatar Tourism Authority is to bring Qatar to the world and the world to Qatar. QTA markets and promotes Qatar as a quality tourism destination for leisure, business, education, and sport as well as a safe and welcoming destination in the heart of the Arabian Gulf. To achieve this strategy, QTA has developed a corporate structure comprised of three divisions, whose activities are governed and guided by the Chairman of the Board, HE Mr. Akbar Al Baker. The three divisions include Planning and Development; Quality Control, Licensing, and Regulations; Marketing, Promotions, and Events.
