At the invitation of His Excellency Mr. Orlov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Monaco, Monaco Tourist and Convention Authority gave a touristic presentation on the Principality as part of the St. Petersburg Cultural and Touristic Forum, held from 15 to 17 December in the City of the Tsars.
This forum attracted many foreign professionals, as well as the key players in tourism from all regions of Russia. It was an opportunity for the Russian authorities to show their keen interest in promoting tourism. The Principality of Monaco was cited as an example with regard to the success and longevity of its touristic appeal, the subject chosen by Guillaume Rose for his presentation.
“Russian Year in Monaco” was greatly appreciated by both the Russian authorities and professionals. In terms of tourism, it made it possible to maintain a good level of Russian visitors in 2015, despite the fall of the Rouble.
As side-events of the forum, Monaco Tourist and Convention Authority organised two promotional evenings aimed at St. Petersburg’s leading tour operators and travel agents.
