No.1 Traveller’s Lounges voted a CoolBrand for second year

An influential annual initiative to identify the UK’s coolest brands.

No.1 Traveller‘s award-winning airport lounge collection has been named a CoolBrand for the second consecutive year in the annual initiative to identify the UK’s coolest brands. The CoolBrands list, now in its 13th year, follows a vote combining 2,000 consumers and a panel of 37 designers, media personalities and prominent figures from the worlds of TV, fashion and music. Helping rate coolness this year were, among others, musicians Ella Eyre, Labrinth, Laura Mvula, and Reverend and The Makers, Digital Entrepreneur & Founder of SB.TV, Jamal Edwards, and models Jodie Kidd and Sophie Dahl.

Co-ordinated by The Centre for Brand Analysis, this prestigious list was drawn from thousands of independently identified brands and whittled down to a shortlist of 1,100 companies. The panel and public voted on the shortlist, considering factors such as style, innovation, originality, authenticity, desirability and uniqueness. No.1 Traveller beat tough competition to take its place alongside Apple, Virgin Atlantic and Dermalogica in the CoolBrands book, published this month.

Stephen Cheliotis, Chairman of the CoolBrands Expert Council, said, “For No.1 Traveller to be viewed so positively by both influencers and consumers for the second year running is a great achievement and recognition of the brand’s desirability. Achieving CoolBrands status illustrates that No.1 Traveller is among an eclectic but small group of brands that are providing an authentic, innovative and unique proposition to consumers. This brand clearly resonates and No.1 Traveller strong performance in the survey is something the entire business can be proud of. Hopefully the competitive advantage a strong reputation provided in the marketplace can give No.1 Traveller the platform to continue advancing further.”
