One Planet Sustainable Tourism selects Jumbari Family Safaris as new member

The One Planet Sustainable Tourism Programme is a multi-stakeholder partnership that promotes networking among like-minded organizations and brings together existing and new initiatives focused on decoupling tourism’s growth from the increased use of natural resources.

 

Responsible travel company, Jumbari Family Safaris has been approved as a member of the One Planet Sustainable Tourism Programme in association with the United Nations World Tourism Organization.

The company is recognised alongside only 179 organizations from across the world (and the 9th member from South Africa) for their commitment to advance sustainable consumption and production in the tourism sector.

We are proud to be a partner of the One Planet Sustainable Tourism Programme, a divison of the United Nations World Tourism Organization. This means Jumbari Family Safaris can actively partake in the consulting process and assist with strategy until 2022. The One Planet Sustainable Tourism Programme is a multi-stakeholder partnership that promotes networking among like-minded organizations and brings together existing and new initiatives focused on decoupling tourism’s growth from the increased use of natural resources. Their overall objective is to enhance the sustainable development impacts of the tourism sector by 2030, through developing, promoting and scaling up sustainable consumption and production practices.
