Pittsburgh to New York City with Fly Louie

New route begins Jan. 7, 2019 – 16 weekly flights on private executive aircraft; bookings available now.

PITTSBURGH – Now there's a smarter, easier way to travel between New York City and Pittsburgh. Faster, too, with Fly Louie. The new air service offers a modern take on air travel, combining the luxury and speed of private travel at some of the best prices available with single seat bookings on private flights.

Fly Louie operates regularly scheduled flights on popular, underserved routes on private planes, allowing travelers to skip the commercial airport. Starting Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, Fly Louie begins a new route with 16 weekly flights between Pittsburgh and New York. The flights operate out of Allegheny County Airport (AGC), just 9 miles from downtown Pittsburgh, and New York's Westchester County Airport (HGN), where you can get to midtown Manhattan in under an hour by car service or the MTA Metro-North.

Passengers arrive at the airport 15 minutes before take-off and go from the tarmac to the office on arrival. For Pittsburgh to New York, that's just under three hours from home to the ultimate destination. "We're incredibly excited to start our Pittsburgh-New York route," said Julia Takeda, founder and CEO of Fly Louie. "With Pittsburgh, it was love at first sight, and the response by the business community has been outstanding. Travelers want more options and flexibility when flying. Fly Louie will not only get you to your destination safely, but we also bring the speed and convenience of private travel and make it accessible to commercial travelers."

With two pilots on every flight and a Fly Louie concierge at the private terminal, customers come first. Travelers can book by the seat or the entire plane on the website. And everything is included in the Fly Louie airfare: drinks and snacks, bags, and ticket changes. Fly Louie is offering a welcome rate of $538 per seat ($495 + tax), valid on travel through Jan. 31, 2019.

All Fly Louie flights are performed by FAA-licensed and DOT-registered air carriers: Altius Aviation, Reliant Air Charter or similar air taxi. The preferred aircraft include the luxurious King Air 350, a twin-engine turboprop, and the Pilatus PC-12. The King Air 350 is considered one of the most comfortable solutions for short-haul flights. It is also more economical than comparably sized jets and offers virtually the same flight time.

"We prioritize safety, value, and speed above all for our passengers," Julia adds. "And we work with excellent charter operators and crews to ensure a pleasant flight and a level of service that Fly Louie customers come back for."

Pittsburgh-New York is Fly Louie's second dedicated route. The company started a popular New York to Nantucket route in 2018 and plans to add new routes in the future.
