Travelers seek expert advisors to plan Hawaiian getaways in 2021.
NEEDHAM, MASS. – Reco from Tripadvisor, the new luxury trip designing platform, is bringing the spirit of Aloha to travelers this month by celebrating the Hawaiian Islands. Domestic vacations remain high on travelers’ wish lists for 2021, and travelers are turning to Reco for expert help. Recent Reco data shows Hawaii is the number one most requested domestic destination for getaways, family vacations and romance. Over one-third (39 percent) of travelers are planning upcoming trips within the next three months, where they will match with some of the top Trip Designers in the world to plan their next unforgettable trip.
Erik Ornitz, General Manager for Reco said, “Our Reco Trip Designers are helping travelers explore warm, beach destinations like Hawaii. They are working with their clients on custom honeymoons and getaways that comply with the latest Covid-19 protocols and recommendations. We're excited to see them using their destination expertise, creativity and reliable guidance to help travelers look forward to stress-free trips again."
To provide authentic and transformational travel experiences, Reco assembled a highly-curated, qualified and widely-recognized network of more than 300 expert Trip Designers whose expertise spans more than 100 countries. One of the professional travel advisors Reco travelers can hire is Heather Christopher, who has been planning bespoke vacations to Hawaii for over ten years.
“I am honored to be a part of the new Reco team and excited to share my love and knowledge of Hawaii to give travelers a memorable trip,” said Heather Christopher. “Each Island is diverse and magical with unique experiences well-suited for any travel vibe. For travelers who want to go to Hawaii now, I suggest visiting only one island for deep exploration and connection. My clients fall in love with the pure beauty of Hawaii and there will be plenty of time to return for a larger bucket list, multi-island vacation!”
While February is the official month of romance, Hawaii has no expiration date. Here, Heather shares her favorite tips and “must do’s” after “I do’s,” vow renewals, and anniversaries when booking a Reco-designed visit to the islands.
– Oahu: Skip the North Shore and visit Kukaniloko Birthing Stones, a sacred site located in the middle of a sugar cane field in central Oahu where it is said that couples who visit will soon get pregnant!
– Kauai: The Garden Island, known for its lush jade green peaks and stunning waterfalls, is also an adventurer’s paradise. Kayaking the N’apali Coast is a must-do; however, do not skip the mountain river tubing experience, which brings you into the rainforest and rivers normally only seen from afar.
– The Big Island: The Hawaii Forest & Trail Company assigns mother earth guides to lead guests to Volcanoes National Park where the lava is currently flowing – a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see fresh and recent lava and, if it is flowing into the ocean, to witness how new earth is formed.
– Maui: O’o Farm in Upcountry is an ideal spot for foodies to enjoy a three hour behind-the-scenes immersive tour of the Island’s spiritual nature. Guests meet the farmers, help on the grounds, learn about farming, and enjoy a beautiful farm-to-table meal.
How Reco Works:
Travelers start by simply sharing details and preferences about their next trip on Reco – such as destinations, the type of trip, their interests, who they are traveling with, and budget parameters. Immediately, the Reco platform matches users with a selection of curated Trip Designers that meet their unique needs.
After an initial conversation via messaging within the platform, the traveler pays a $200 hiring fee for their Trip Designer of choice to begin designing, planning and booking a custom itinerary for a stress-free and highly memorable travel experience. Throughout the process (pre-, during-, and post-trip), Reco connects travelers with their personal Trip Designer, and saves all important travel documents and confirmations. The Trip Designer remains available to Reco users throughout their trip and can also navigate and help manage any changes or cancellations.
