MUHARRAQ, Bahrain – American casual dining favorite, TGI Fridays launched its first Middle East airport branch at Bahrain International Airport (BIA). Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) Chief Executive Officer, Mohamed Yousif Al Binfalah attended the opening ceremony alongside other officials.

Offering an open kitchen concept and contemporary décor, the restaurant can accommodate 118 guests at a time. Alongside a wide selection of signature food, TGI Fridays offers a range of beverages and mocktails.

TGI Fridays is the latest offering from SSP Bahrain, a joint venture between SSP Group, Buhindi Group, and Gulf Air Group Holding, which operates 17 F&B units at the New Passengers Terminal.

Airports are important dining destinations for passengers, and to meet the demand for more variety, F&B units with a total area of 4,500 sqm are located throughout the airport. The units offer a strong combination of local and international brands. TGI Fridays adds to the diverse food and beverage offerings at BIA, which is the most modern boutique airport in the Gulf.

Launched in 2021, the new Passenger Terminal is four times larger than the legacy facility and is capable of processing 130,000 air traffic movements per annum and 4,700 bags per hour. It increases the airport’s capacity to 14 million passengers a year and is built to the highest technological standards, ensuring a safe, secure, and seamless airport experience.
