Gordon succeeds Pat King who has enjoyed a long and successful career with The Doyle Collection.
The Doyle Collection announces the appointment of Gordon Drake as the new CEO of the group. Gordon is an international hotelier with experience in the luxury space, previously with Westmont, Six Senses, Kingdom Hotels (owners of Four Seasons, George V Hotel in Paris, and The Savoy Hotel in London) and Rocco Forte Hotels.
Gordon succeeds Pat King who has enjoyed a long and successful career with The Doyle Collection.
The Doyle Collection is a family-owned and operated, international luxury hotel group. It owns The Westbury Hotel, a flagship property in Dublin and a member of Leading Hotels of the World. In the United Kingdom, it owns The Marylebone, The Kensington, and The Bloomsbury, all located in central London, as well as The Bristol which is located harbourside in Bristol. In addition, the Group's Irish hotels also include The River Lee in Cork and The Croke Park Hotel in Dublin. In the United States, The Doyle Collection owns The Dupont Circle Hotel located in the centre of Washington DC.
Over the last four years, the group has completed an investment of €65 million across its portfolio with the extensive refurbishment of bedrooms, the adding of luxury suites, and investing in its bars & restaurants.

The appointment of Gordon as CEO will strengthen the team and will facilitate our vision to push the boundaries of luxury Irish hospitality and hotel design. We are conscious that the hotel industry has had a difficult time and has an uncertain immediate recovery due to macro-economic and geopolitical factors, but I believe that the strongest returns will be in the leisure sector in the near term, and we are well-positioned in each of our markets in this regard.”
