The show must go on – recognising talent, innovation and ingenuity through the best and worst of times

SITE Crystal Awards are now open for submissions – recognizing the value of creative, practical and truly memorable incentive programs held between April 1 2019 and June 30 2020.

CHICAGO – SITE Crystal awards are aimed at incentive travel professionals all over the world. Winners represent excellence in their field, excelling in the design of unique, memorable group travel experiences that deliver measurable results for their clients. Companies are welcome to submit their incentive programs – held from April 1, 2019 through June 30, 2020 – highlighting how they delivered excellence and advanced the business case for incentive travel. Registration is open until August 14th 2020 and winners will be announced at the Crystal Awards Ceremony, sponsored by IMEX, during the SITE Global Conference in 2021.

“We are so proud to be able to continue to recognise the unique talent and remarkable ingenuity of the incentive sector during these difficult times”, said SITE President, Jenn Glynn, CIS, CITP. “Now, more than ever, our industry has had to think ‘outside the box’ and deliver the seemingly impossible. It is an honour to support this industry and to reward those who rise above and beyond. There are 5 categories open to applications, and, new for this year, is ‘Most Creative Solution Deployed at a Time of Crisis’. This seeks to award incentive travel professionals and organizations who have displayed uncommon levels of innovation, creativity and ingenuity in identifying solutions for the continuation of incentive travel in a time of crisis. We hope many of you will take this opportunity to showcase your best work from this past year and receive the recognition you and your team deserve”.

“The travel industry is undoubtedly one of the sectors most drastically affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. However, it is also one of the most resilient. By recognising the brilliance of incentive industry professionals both in the good times as well as in the face of adversity, the SITE Crystal Awards offer a joyful, energising reminder of “Yes, We Can”. The show must go on, and these awards serve to acknowledge extraordinary programs, as well as to act as a beacon of inspiration for those who are struggling under current conditions” said Ellie MacPherson, CITP, Senior Vice President, Canada Operations, Creative Group & Chair, SITE’s Crystal Awards Committee

Yvonne Colucci, Managing Director of Odyssey International, sums up her experience of winning a Crystal Award.

It has shown how creative we can be, and that we really push the boundaries. If you have a programme that you are proud of, just go for it! – have the confidence to apply for this prestigious award. To stand and be counted in a room filled with the very best international peers is just phenomenal and can show all the world what you are capable of".
