Royal Caribbean International announced the appointment of Alice Norsworthy to senior vice president of Marketing, effective Oct. 4. Norsworthy is formerly of Walt Disney World(R) and will be responsible for all aspects of the cruise line`s marketing program, including brand strategy and positioning, consumer and trade advertising, web and loyalty marketing, research, and brand development. She will report directly to Adam M. Goldstein, Royal Caribbean International President.



With the upcoming launch of Freedom of the Seas and so many other exciting initiatives on the immediate horizon, we feel this is the perfect time to bring in fresh energy and ideas to continue the momentum of innovation the brand has created, said Goldstein. Alice comes to us with an impressive history of creativity and proven results, and we very much look forward to having her on our team.



In her former position at Disney, Norsworthy served as senior vice president of Business Integration, Products & Services where she was responsible for the development of new products and services concepts for the Walt Disney World Resorts. This included the Magical Gatherings, a new line of business targeted toward multi-household travel, and the launch of Disney`s Magical Express. Norsworthy was a key contributor to several major events at Walt Disney World Resort including Mickey`s 65th Birthday, the Walt Disney World 25th Anniversary and the Millennium Celebration. Among her several past roles at Disney, Norsworthy was vice president of Disney Cruise Line Marketing from 1999-2001.

Prior to working at Disney, Norsworthy was the Advertising and Promotions manager for Boardwalk & Baseball, Inc. in Davenport, Florida and an advertising account executive with Robinson, Yesawich & Pepperdine in Orlando, Florida.

Norsworthy received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville.
