Radius, the global travel company announced the addition of Vy Vuong and Chris Weedon to its multinational corporate sales management team as vice president, Asia Pacific and multinational bid manager. Vy Vuong, who will be based in Singapore, will implement the Radius travel management consolidation sales strategy in the Asia Pacific region in coordination with Radius travel companies.
Vuong brings to Radius more than 16 years experience in the travel industry in the Asia Pacific region, particularly in the GDS and travel technology space. An Australian national, his most recent position was strategic sales manager for American Express, and he previously served in senior management and selling positions with companies such as Elite Capital Group, Atinera Asia Pacific, Echo Technologies Ltd, and STA Travel. Vuong, also a fully qualified airline pilot, served as a first officer on Boeing 767s for QANTAS Airways.
Chris Weedon, who is based in London, joins Radius in the newly created role of multinational bid manager. Weedon will work with the multinational corporate sales team to develop and enhance corporate RFP content to meet the ever changing demands of multinational corporate clients and ensure that first-class service is consistently delivered. Weedon, who has been heavily involved in the travel industry over the last two years, joins Radius from HARP wallen where he most recently headed up a corporate travel department. With a first degree in psychology and a background in human resources and commercial management, Weedon brings a unique skill to the business set that ensures Radius moves forwards as a global leader.
