Award-winning luxury river cruise line AmaWaterways has announced details of a series of new combination cruises for 2025, appealing to travellers’ desire for longer trips.

The new “Grand” series of 14-night itineraries, including Grand Seine & BordeauxGrand Seine & Rhône and Grand Rhine & Dutch Canals, are attractively priced and include convenient transfers between rivers where applicable. By combining two popular 7-night sailings into one convenient itinerary, these three curated extended journeys allow guests to immerse themselves in a European experience that offers extra time to explore diverse landscapes, historic cities and charming villages along these fascinating waterways.

For those reserving their staterooms on these 2025 sailings by December 31, 2023, AmaWaterways is also offering Early Booking Reward savings of up to 20 percent on selected sailings.

Highlights of the new Grand itineraries include:

Grand Seine & Bordeaux

The 14-night Grand Seine & Bordeaux river cruise takes guests through four legendary waterways in France including the Seine, Garonne and Dordogne rivers, as well as the Gironde Estuary.

Serving as a combination cruise of two of AmaWaterways’ well-loved itineraries – Paris & Normandy on board AmaLyra and Taste of Bordeaux on board AmaDolce – this 14-night cruise with train transfer between Paris and Bordeaux is ideal for history enthusiasts and wine connoisseurs alike, offering the chance to savour the region’s finest vintages, visit historic castles and immerse themselves in the colourful countryside’s rich culture.

A choice of 15 departures are on offer, departing from March to October 2025.

Grand Seine & Rhône

The 14-night Grand Seine & Rhône cruise explores the treasures of the Seine and Rhône rivers in France, combining the best of AmaWaterways’ Paris & Normandy aboard AmaLyra and Essence of Burgundy & Provence aboard AmaCello. On this palate-pleasing adventure, guests will enjoy visiting world-famous monasteries, admiring Normandy’s stunning coastline, exploring French châteaux and immersing themselves into France’s enchanting blend of history, nature and gastronomy. Convenient train connections are included to ensure seamless transfer from Paris to Dijon.

Guests can choose from eleven departures between March to November 2025.

Grand Rhine & Dutch Canals

Sailing from Amsterdam to Basel aboard AmaStella, the 14-nightGrand Rhine & Dutch Canals river cruise is a delightful combination of AmaWaterways’ popular Best of Holland & BelgiumEnchanting Rhine and Captivating Rhine itineraries. This enchanting voyage is perfect for those seeking to immerse themselves in the fairytale castles and storybook villages along the Rhine, as well as explore the wonders of Holland and Belgium.

There are 9 departure dates on offer from July to December 2025.

Other curated 14-night voyages include the Grand Danube sailing between Vilshofen, Germany and Giurgiu, Romania and Magnificent Europe sailing between Amsterdam, Netherlands and Budapest, Hungary.
