MIAMI – Centennial Bank announces that it provided a $46 million loan to SunStone Ships, paving the way for its distinguished cruise vessel, M/V Ocean Explorer, to embark on polar expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic beginning October 2024.
Operating under a longstanding contract with Quark Expeditions, the Ocean Explorer promises thrilling adventures for passengers seeking unique expedition cruise travel experiences. Beyond its impressive accommodations, the vessel features standard facilities, including a restaurant, presentation lounge, mudroom, library, gift shop, gym, salon/treatment area, and medical center. The vessel’s uniqueness is further highlighted by its special features, which encompass a specialty restaurant, observation restaurant, observation lounge, pool deck, two jacuzzis, and provisions for kayaks and Zodiacs.
Delivered in 2021 as part of the Infinity Class vessels commissioned for SunStone Ships, the Ocean Explorer is a remarkable addition to the maritime industry. Measuring an impressive 342.25 feet and with a gross tonnage of 8,228, the Ocean Explorer is a beacon of luxury, offering 151 passenger beds within its 77 cabins.
This recent loan, part of a comprehensive financing package totaling $145 million to date to SunStone Ships, underscores Centennial Bank’s unwavering commitment to fostering growth and innovation within the maritime industry.
