Iceland has taken the top spot for Americans this summer.

It’s officially peak season in what’s being considered the strongest summer for travel since 2019 and with many Americans booked and ready to go, Intrepid Travel is revealing the hottest destinations of the season.

It’s clear from the list that Europe is dominating but it’s Iceland that has taken the top spot for Americans this summer. Morocco also continues to be a popular choice, offering up an exciting mix of traditional culture, diverse flavors, beaches and more.

“According to a recent report by The The Vacationer, 85% of Americans intend to travel this summer so if they didn’t take that revenge trip in 2022, they’re certainly not hesitating this summer,” said Matt Berna, President and Managing Director, the Americas. “We’re also seeing more travelers book last minute at the risk of missing out on an adventure during an exciting summer for travel.”
