After successful Early Adopter Program, Amadeus’ global workforce now using Generative AI across wide range of Microsoft 365 productivity tools. More than 90% of early adopters at Amadeus now regularly using Copilot.

Generative AI is one of the most promising ways that companies across the industry can deliver more connected and more valuable journeys. It’s against this backdrop that Amadeus is working with Microsoft to deploy Copilot for Microsoft 365 to empower its workforce. Amadeus has been beta-testing Copilot for Microsoft 365 as a part of the Early Adopter Program (EAP), and it is now deploying to its wider workforce, ensuring it is  now benefiting on a global level from Generative AI capabilities within Microsoft products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams and Word.

Employees at Amadeus are already seeing the benefits with Generative AI proposing time-saving options in a wide range of scenarios. This could be as simple as suggesting draft text for an email based on the context of the employee’s work, summarizing a meeting and adding action points, or more effectively searching for information from the web and Amadeus’ own information assets.

Wolfgang Krips, Senior Vice President, Corporate Strategy, Amadeus said: “We were pleased to be an early adopter of Copilot, further building on our strategic partnership with Microsoft. We know Generative AI is changing travel and we’re already working with Microsoft and Accenture so corporate travelers can use the technology to plan their end-to-end trips. With Copilot for Microsoft 365, our employees can focus on more strategic tasks, while the bot takes care of time-consuming tasks such as drafting emails, summarizing meetings, and searching for information.”

Sean Carey, VP Architecture & Innovation, Amadeus added:“I’ve been using Copilot for Microsoft 365 for a few months as part of the first 300 people at Amadeus to try it. If I’m added to a Teams thread late, I use Copilot to summarize the discussion, it also gives me ideas of topics to bring up. Finally it has saved me time by providing meaningful first drafts for emails, allowing me to focus on more important tasks.”

Amadeus is among the first companies to start working with Copilot for Microsoft 365 as part of the early adoption program. Following an initial trial with 300 employees the travel technology company saw that more than 90% of employees adopted Copilot to help with day-to-day tasks. Now Copilot is being deployed across global locations to employees.

Copilot for Microsoft 365 combines the power of Large Language Models (LLMs) with data in the Microsoft Graph — calendar, emails, chats, documents, meetings and more — and Microsoft 365 apps to turn words into a powerful productivity tool. “Copilot for Microsoft 365 offers a promise to increase productivity and creativity and reduce digital debt for every employee. We’re excited to see Amadeus take a meaningful step forward in its journey to become an AI-powered organization. We look forward to seeing the ways it leverages Copilot to drive innovation and growth,”said Jared Spataro, CVP, Modern Work & Biz Apps, Microsoft.
