Jyrney CEO and co-founder, Daniel Price.

Five finalists battled in out in a ‘Dragons’ Den’ style final. TravelTech Show dates confirmed for 2024 – 19-20 June, ExCeL, London.

TravelTech Show has revealed the winner of this year’s Trailblazer Awards – Jyrney – who fought off competition from four other finalists in a ‘Dragons’ Den’ style final that took place on the final day of the event. This follows Jyrney’s Innovation Faceoff win at Business Travel Show Europe in 2022.

This year’s finalists – all under 48 months old – were

  • Triend,
  • Moder,
  • Hands In,
  • MagellenGO and
  • Jyrney.

Winner Jyrney has won:

  • A free stand at TravelTech Show 2024
  • A start-up ticket to Phocuswright
  • A speaking opportunity at TravelTech Show 2024
  • Coverage from Phocuswire

Jyrney is described as, ‘the most comprehensive mobility platform bringing together taxi, private hire and chauffeur for any travel platform’, and CEO and co-founder Daniel Price said, “To win the TravelTech Show Trailblazer Award is really important for us because as a startup we don’t have a massive marketing budget, so these kinds of things really matter to us to; it gives us exposure across the market, and it helps the industry understand who we are, what we do as a business and how we can solve their problems.

“Winning the Innovation Faceoff at Business Travel Show Europe last year really helped to validate what we’re doing because it meant a lot of very experienced people in travel could see the challenge we’re solving in a new way. Since that win, we’ve launched our business, starting trading, won our first client – there are several TMCs we’re now working with – and at TravelTech Show this week we launched our mobile technology. Ιt’s been a really busy 12 months.”

Asked why events like TravelTech Show are so important to companies like Jyrney, Daniel added, “TravelTech Show helps businesses in travel find new technologies to help them engage
with clients, suppliers and customers better so travellers can always be front of mind. What we’re doing is trying to solve travellers’ problems, but we need the travel industry to use our technology to make that happen.”

This year’s TravelTech Show Trailblazer Awards judges were;

  • Joshua Ryan-Saha, Director, Travel Tech for Scotland
  • Kimberly Newbury, Vice President, Sales, Northstar Travel Group Singapore, Global Travel Technology Group
  • Xavier Garcia, Cluster Manager, Tech Tourism Cluster Catalonia
  • Eventia Giumba, Director, Amadeus Launchpad
  • Andreas Lau,  partner, ennea Capital Partners

TravelTech Show 2023 took place this week at ExCeL, London and returns to the venue on 19-20 June 2024. The event brings together hundreds of senior travel and tourism technology specialists and over 50 exhibitors for high-level, in-person networking and a premium conference agenda. Free tickets are available to qualified travel technology decision-makers from the retail/corporate travel, tourism and hospitality sectors. This year, the event is co-located with Business Travel Show Europe and The Meetings Show.
