Travelport, a leading Travel Commerce Platform, and Citybookers.com a prominent online travel company (OTA) based in Kuwait, have announced a long-term agreement, via Travelport’s distributor in Kuwait. The renewed agreement will see Citybookers.com leverage Travelport’s industry leading technology to grow their online presence across the Middle East as well as globally. Founded in 2012, Citybookers.com is one of the fastest growing OTAs in Kuwait and specializes in providing airline tickets and tour packages across the world.

The renewed agreement will see Citybookers.com benefit from Travelport’s industry leading technology for agencies, Universal API. This agreement will give Citybookers.com access to Travelport’s unrivalled world of travel choice, which incorporates the branded fares ancillaries from over 400 leading network and low cost carriers across the world, and over 65,000 unique hotel properties globally, as well as top car and rail providers. Citybookers.com will also benefit from the ability to create tailor made travel solutions through a single API connection, that optimizes the booking process, improving functionalities such as search and pricing.

Ahmed Refai, Founder and Managing Director at Citybookers.com commented: “Citybookers.com has become a key player in the Kuwait travel industry in only 5 years. Our priority now is to strengthen our online presence in the region and further boost our commercial success. Our business’s core value differentiator is the delivery of the fastest possible, trusted user experience, and we are confident that Travelport’s Travel Commerce Platform is the ideal technology partner for us to help us bring our online presence to an unprecedented level and meet the bespoke needs of our customers.”
