Sofitel Miami Hotel wins The Knot's 2014 "Best of Weddings"

Awards are chosen through user review submissions of their wedding venues, photographers, make-up artists and other bridal vendors.

MIAMI – Laurus Corporation, a U.S.-based private real estate investment and development firm, is pleased to announce that the Sofitel Miami Hotel was voted the 2014 “Best of Weddings” winner by The Knot, a popular website for wedding planning and resources. On December 10, 2012, Laurus Corporation acquired the Sofitel Miami Hotel, a 14-story luxury hotel which sits on 10 acres with a total of 281 rooms, and 17,351 square feet of meeting and event space.

“We are implementing a $4.5 million renovation program that will further enhance the guest experience making it a beautiful wedding destination,” says Austin Khan, Chief Investment Officer of Laurus Corporation. “It is an honor for the Sofitel to be recognized with this award by a well-regarded bridal publication.”

Awards are chosen through user review submissions of their wedding venues, photographers, make-up artists and other bridal vendors. Scores are then determined by a set criterion per market and category. The winner is selected by the top 1% of customer-based reviews.
