Rotana opens first Oman property, Salalah Rotana Resort

Rotana, the leading hospitality management company in the Middle East and Africa will be welcoming guests to its first Oman property, Salalah Rotana Resort from 25th December 2013.

Located on the stunning coastline with views overlooking the Arabian Ocean, Salalah Rotana Resort is a luxurious 5-star resort boasting 399 rooms and suites, each furnished with modern amenities and conveniences for all guests to enjoy as well as 45 exclusive villas. Inspired by traditional Omani architecture, it is the latest addition to Rotana’s portfolio, which features a collection of some of the most desirable properties in leading destination in the Middle East and Africa.

Key appointments for the property include Mr. Claudio Melli, a well-respected veteran of the hospitality industry with more than 20 years of experience in the business, as general manager.

Mr. Omer Kaddouri, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Rotana, said; “Oman has always been a key growth market for us and this is clearly reflected by our aggressive expansion plans in the country. The 5-star Salalah Rotana Resort plays an important role in our growth strategy for the Middle East market, where we will be launching several new properties throughout the year to increase the total number of rooms under our management to over 14,500 by the end of the year. Oman’s Ministry of Tourism has certainly done an excellent job in harnessing the tourism potential of Oman and promoting its key offerings in the global market. With our heavy presence in the region, Rotana is keen to work with the Ministry to help draw attention towards Oman’s world-class tourism offerings.”
