Incentive-level travel experiences up for bid

Site International Foundation offers world travel enthusiasts opportunities to purchase global itineraries at a fraction of their face value.

CHICAGO, IL. – Travel aficionados looking to secure a one-of-a-kind travel experience to one of 14 destinations across the globe should take a look at Site International Foundation’s “Around the World” online auction.

The Around the World program is an online auction featuring unique incentive-level experiences from destinations around the globe and raises funds for education and research focused on the motivational events industry. Packages, which include itineraries in Asia, Europe and the United States, have been designed with the independent world traveler in mind.

“What makes this opportunity unique is that bidding is open to everyone, not just Site members,” said Kurt Paben, Site International Foundation President. “Itineraries like these aren’t always readily available outside the motivational events industry network.”

The auction site offers packages for two people featuring multiple cities and five to seven day itineraries – at a fraction of their face value. For example, the bidding for an itinerary in Thailand, which includes world-class hotels and historic palace tours, starts at just $2,458 (actual trip value: $7,025). That package can also be secured with the “Buy it Now” feature for $4,567.

“If you’re considering domestic or international travel in the next year, securing one of these itineraries at a fraction of the cost is a wise investment,” said Paben. “These experiences offer the same top-notch accommodations that are offered through motivational travel incentive programs.”

Motivational incentives are at the heart of Site International Foundation’s mission.
The organization believes “the highest levels of workplace performance are reached by individuals and teams that are highly motivated.” Motivational experiences are a powerful business tool that corporations of all sizes use to reward and unlock human potential to achieve corporate objectives.

Incentive trips, meetings and events account for 15% of all travel spending, which creates 2.4 million jobs, $240 billion in spending and $39 billion in tax revenue. For every dollar spent in travel, businesses benefit from an average of $12.50 in increased revenue and $3.80 in new profits, according to the U.S. Travel Association.

“Our wonderful industry sponsors have donated these experiences to help continue the important work of the Site International Foundation,” explained Paben. “Our members and partners believe in the power of rewarding workplace performance and want to help educate the public of that value.”
