New flights for winter at Southampton Airport

Southampton Airport will once again have links into Germany which is currently the country most in demand from this region. Also, Santa flights at Southampton will be increasing this winter following their popularity last year.

New Route to Germany
Flybe will be launching a new route to Dusseldorf, Germany. The route will begin on the 25th October 2015. This is important news as it means that Southampton Airport will once again have links into Germany which is currently the country most in demand from this region.

Santa Flights
Santa flights at Southampton will be increasing this winter following their popularity last year. Day trips to Lapland will be offered by Canterbury Travel and Transun and, for those who would prefer to stay longer, Santa’s Lapland will offer 3 days and 2 night packages.

  • Santa’s Lapland departs 8th December (3 days and 2 nights)
  • Transun Lapland day trip departs: 12th December
  • Canterbury Travel day trip departs: 20th and 21st December

Ski
Inghams will be offering Saturday flights to Austria from 19th December – 15th March which is ideal for holidays in top resorts such as St. Anton and Mayrhofen. Esprit Ski, which specialises in ski holidays for young families, and Ski Total will have flights to Chambery on Sunday’s and Geneva on Saturday’s over the winter season. These are convenient airports for anyone who fancies skiing in the popular resorts such as Tignes, Val Thorens, Val d’lsere or Verbier. Flybe will also be offering flights to Chambery and Geneva for independent skiers.

Additions to Existing Routes
Eastern Airways have increased the capacity on their Leeds service up to 4 flights per day as of the 14th September. Flybe will be operating extra flights on routes from Southampton to Manchester, Amsterdam, Guernsey and Glasgow from 25th October. Flybe’s Malaga and Alicante scheduled flights will continue until the 7th November. Flights to Bergerac and Nantes will continue in the winter season. La Rochelle, Limoges and Rennes will operate over the Christmas and New Year period.
